Delivery times
All the deadlines indicated here are without firm commitment and are given purely as an indication. It is important not to confuse the shipping times for equipment (postal service) and live animals (specialized carrier).
Saturday and Sunday are not working days for carriers. No package is therefore taken care of before the following Monday and the status of your order may not change during the weekend.
Sending animals:
Shipments of live animals are only possible in Belgium, Luxembourg and France (except Corsica).
The carrier of live animals is subject to very strict regulations. Delivery of special packages containing live animals can only be made on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday to the customer or to a "Pick-up point". In addition, in the event of weather conditions that are too cold or too hot, strikes, public holidays, etc. the carrier is prohibited from circulating!
A live animal is therefore sent in less than 24 hours, but to this time must be added the time necessary to find/repatriate the animal from the supplier/breeder to our own facilities (1 to 14 working days on average, Saturdays and Sundays are not working) and then wait for the next Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday without bans to arrive.
So, if you have ordered an animal, simply wait for us to contact you by email to offer you a delivery date or an appointment for the collection of your package at the collection point. This email will reach you within 1-14 business days after your payment. Always check the status of your order to know where the progress of this order is.
A possible delay in delivery does not entitle HobbyReptiles to damages.
The animals travel in an insulated package equipped, if necessary, with a heater or an ice pack that will maintain an adequate temperature during transport for more than 24 hours. The value of an insulated package is between €3.5 and €6, this amount is automatically included in the final cost of delivery costs or deposits at the package collection point.
Sending material:
Here is the rule generally applicable (in working days) for paid orders and for which all items are in stock in our own warehouses:
0 to 2 days of package preparation (if material in stock) + 1 to 2 days of shipping via carrier
On average, our:
* Belgian customers are delivered 1 to 2 days after payment (from 1 to 14 working days in case of restocking)
* French customers are delivered 2 to 3 days after payment (from 1 to 14 working days in case of restocking)
* Customers from other countries are delivered more than 4 days after payment.
For orders placed and paid for where all items are in stock in our warehouses, packages are generally sent the same day or the next day (without firm commitment on these deadlines given for information only), i.e. within 24 to 48 hours on working days. (from Monday to Friday). It remains to add the delivery time used by the postal service of your country of residence. These deadlines are valid for Belgium (1 day) or France (2 days) only. For other countries, the delays depend on the destination and the shipping method.
Packages containing items that are not in stock with us but with our suppliers are generally dispatched within 1 to 14 working days after receipt of your payment (without firm commitment on these deadlines given as an indication). For packages of items that are neither in stock with us nor with our suppliers (out of stock), we cannot define well-defined delivery times. However, restocking usually takes 1-3 weeks.

Tracking number
Once your order status shows "Shipped", your package should arrive at your location no later than 2-3 business days (Saturday and Sunday are not considered business days).
A tracking number is sometimes available via your Hobbyreptiles customer account. This depends on the carrier chosen: there is not always tracking for packages that transit in less than 24 hours.
